So let's take a look at the Arc'teryx Therme Parka.
Arc'teryx Therme Parka Review
Most winter jackets that provide this level of warmth and insulation are primarily made with alpine environments in mind.
However, realistically speaking — it can get pretty cold and windy in the city as well.
That's why you may want to get a jacket that combines an alpine-level performance with a style that's more befitting to an urban area.
That's the demand from which Arc'teryx created the Therme Parka. And it has provided an incredible combination of style and substance — in the most literal sense.
What We Liked about the Arc'teryx Therme Parka
One of the best things about this jacket is its fabric — it's utterly windproof, and it's impervious to any kind of moisture as well.
This is due to the GoreTex synthetic fabric that's as close to cotton as this type of material can get. Still, with incredible thinness, which results in the most streamlined look you could have.
It conforms to your body shape, meaning that it not only looks good — but provides excellent thermal performance as well. Among other things, the insulation quality is owed to the composite mapping used for the manufacturing process of the down filling.
In simpler terms — it ensures that there's more insulation where you need it the most. And both the sleeves and the core are covered with more than enough filling!
What We Didn't Like about the Arc'teryx Therme Parka
The only real problem with the jacket is that many users have reported issues with the zipper coming off.
However, in all fairness, this is something easily fixable. It doesn't detract from the overall impression of the jacket too much.
